The initiative was established in 2006 to engage national and scientific organizations to increase knowledge about and support for HIV vaccine research among U.S. populations most affected by HIV/AIDS.

The RFP will be posted on www.bethegeneration.org on January 9, 2008. Proposals are due on January 31, 2008, with projects scheduled to begin in March 2008.
