Join AIDSinfo in Observing National Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
June 8 marks the fifth annual observance of National Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a day that serves to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean American community. Statistics from the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS show that the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, has been more affected by HIV than any region outside sub-Saharan Africa.
AIDSinfo has developed a specialty page for this awareness day with information and resources concerning HIV and Caribbean Americans.
