Genotypic Antiretroviral Resistance Test (GART)

Synonym(s): Genotypic Assay

A type of resistance test that detects drug-resistant mutations in HIV genes. Resistance testing is used to guide selection of an HIV regimen when initiating or changing antiretroviral therapy (ART).
