HIV/AIDS Awareness Days

National Caribbean-American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

June 8, 2017

The U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) reports that, outside of sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean region has the highest prevalence of HIV in the world. This burden of HIV extends to Caribbean Americans living in states and cities across the United States. On June 8, organizations and individuals nationwide will join hands to promote awareness about HIV testing and treatment in Caribbean-American communities.
